Welcome to the Secret Garden South of Bobber's Mill Bridge in Nottingham

Welcome to Windmill Community Gardens, home of the Climate Friendly Gardeners Project.

We are a group of local people, who are nurturing a wonderful community garden in the heart of the city. You'll find us just South of Bobbersmill Bridge, on the allotment site at the South end of Ascot Road. The Gardens are a great place where anyone can come to find out more about growing their own food in a changing climate. We cater for all abilities and welcome any nationality or age group.

Why not come and join us?

Perfectly prepared pizzas with Robert Shaw pupils

Well done to all the hard-working pupils from Robert Shaw Primary School who braved the rain today to work at the allotment. Despite getting soggy, they helped us to pot up strawberry runners, weed the paths and best of all, they all got to make and eat pizza using the tomatoes that their school-mates planted in the Spring. We've been doing this for 3 years now, so it's quite a tradition, and we hope this year's classes will be able to carry it on, planting tomatoes for the following year's pupils.

Kneeding the dough and shaping it.

Adding the toppings - with lashings of fresh tomato

Perfect pizza in progress!

Now all we need to do is eat it!
