Welcome to the Secret Garden South of Bobber's Mill Bridge in Nottingham

Welcome to Windmill Community Gardens, home of the Climate Friendly Gardeners Project.

We are a group of local people, who are nurturing a wonderful community garden in the heart of the city. You'll find us just South of Bobbersmill Bridge, on the allotment site at the South end of Ascot Road. The Gardens are a great place where anyone can come to find out more about growing their own food in a changing climate. We cater for all abilities and welcome any nationality or age group.

Why not come and join us?

Remember where to find us -

By bus from city centre
Take the No.77 Turquoise line from stop U3 on Upper Parliament Street, to the AS17 Stop on Aspley Lane.

By car / bike / walking
This site is easily reached from the Ring Road (A6514) taking the road into town (B690) from the Bluecoats School Roundabout, then turning right as you pass Collins Cash & Carry.

Alternatively, coming out of town on the A610, you come over a railway bridge and immediately turn left at the traffic lights, then immediate left again to take you onto the Collins Cash & Carry access road.

In all cases, follow the road to the Collins entrance, then carry on up the track that goes between Collins & the new houses. Follow the track round 2 bends, & you'll see our gate ahead of you on the right hand side, behind the new orchard.

From the South, follow the A609 until you reach St. Peter's Street. Follow this to New Road on the left which ends in a track. Keep on this, over the railway & through a narrow path to Windmill

If you are having difficulty finding us, please call 07816899978 and we'll give you more details.
