Welcome to the Secret Garden behind Bobber's Mill in Nottingham

Welcome to Windmill Community Gardens, home of the Climate Friendly Gardeners Project.

We are a group of local people, helped by Groundwork Greater Nottingham, who are resurrecting a wonderful community garden in the heart of the city. You'll find us at the South end of Ascot Road, near Collins Cash and Carry. The Gardens are a great place where anyone can come to find out more about growing their own food in a changing climate. We cater for all abilities and welcome any nationality or age group.

Why not come and join us?

More New Faces at Windmill

Meet Jade, and her new friend the Tin Man!

Jade has just started to volunteer for us on Wednesdays. We're delighted to welcome her, especially as she's already got the knack of working the bollard that we have to lower to get into the car park here!

As you can see, she wasted no time and created this brilliant scarecrow for us, which we'll be putting into the sweetcorn bed as soon as it's planted up.

  1. Excellent idea! We've made these types of little guys out of old flower pots, but I've never seen one made form tin cans.
Practical, green, AND effective; I think one will be finding a home in my garden soon, too!
